Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to Journal of North East India Studies (JNEIS).

We publish well researched papers which are theoretically informed and empirically rich data. Only papers with sufficient quality which make meaningful academic contribution will be processed for anonymous review.

If you are submitting a paper to the journal, please consider the following for smooth processing of your paper.
1) Check the length of your research paper. We strictly publish papers with 8,000-13,000 words.
2) An abstract of 150-300 words is needed, along with 5-8 keywords. The research paper needs to state the materials and methods used in the research and a review of literature of the topic, indicating the research gap in the field.
3) We publish well researched papers which are theoretically informed and empirically rich data. Only papers with sufficient quality which make meaningful academic contribution will be processed for review.
So, the research paper needs to be structured around clear and explicit research questions and a thesis statement or main argument that follows from these questions. Please make sure that the main argument that the manuscript will advance is presented or detailed. This means that there is a need to discuss the position(s) of the manuscript’s argument within the literature.
4) We use APA referencing style. Please meticulously work on referencing all materials correctly, including putting page range of journal articles or book chapters, place of publication of authored and edited books, volume and issue number of periodicals, etc.
