Journal of North East India Studies (JNEIS) seeks to provide readers worldwide with peer-reviewed scholarly articles related to history, anthropology, sociology, economics, education, political science, religion and other issues related to Northeast India.

    It is an attempt to set a platform for debate and discussion among policymakers, opinion-makers, academics, journalists and theologians for in-depth analysis of Indiaís most volatile Northeastern region. JNEIS publishes groundbreaking studies, insightful commentary, and hard-hitting reviews that tackle the entire range of contemporary concerns across the region. The issues appear in print edition and are available in full-text on this website.

    The JNEIS welcomes submissions of original articles, commentaries, review essays and book reviews. It specialises in timely and expeditious publication of articles that impact on todayís critical issues.

    Association for North East India Studies (ANEIS) is a professional association for scholars, students, social workers, and theologians interested in North East India. Its aim is to pursue intellectual discourses on the issues of Northeast India with a view to address them academically.
